FAQ

Common questions. Anything not covered? Email hello@{{BRAND_NAME}}.com and we'll add it here.

How long does it take to ship?

Pads are cut and assembled in our Simi Valley workshop after you order. Standard lead time is 7–10 business days from order to shipment. You'll get a tracking email when it leaves the workshop. (Final lead times confirm after the production schedule locks.)

Can you make a custom size?

Yes. If standard sizes don't fit your crate, vehicle cargo area, dog-house floor, or couch cushion, send measurements and we'll quote a custom cut. Lead time is the same as stock; pricing scales by area. Custom-spec pads are final sale — see Returns for the defect carve-out.

What if it doesn't fit my crate?

Email within 30 days with a photo and measurements. If it's a standard size and the measurement was off, we'll send a different size at our cost on the first exchange. If you ordered custom-spec, the defect carve-out applies for manufacturing issues; off-by-measurement is on the buyer.

What is the foam made of? Is it safe?

Polyurethane foam, cut to spec from blocks sourced through CertiPUR-US certified suppliers. CertiPUR-US verifies the foam contains no formaldehyde, no flame retardants on the prohibited list, no heavy metals above safe limits, and meets low-VOC emissions standards. Specific density and ILD (indentation load deflection) numbers are listed on each product page so you can compare against other brands' specs.

How long does the foam last?

3–5 years for medium-weight dogs (25–80 lb) with normal use. Heavier dogs compress foam faster — expect 2–3 years before noticeable loss of loft. We sell replacement foam cores at workshop cost once the cover is still good but the foam isn't.

Can I wash it?

Wash the cover, not the foam. Cover unzips and machine-washes cold on a gentle cycle. Air-dry or tumble low — high heat shrinks the cover. The foam core stays out of water; spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed.

Do you offer returns?

Stock-size pads: 30-day return window, customer pays return shipping, full refund on the pad price. Custom-spec pads: final sale (we built it to your dimensions, we can't resell it), with a defect carve-out where we cover return shipping and refund or replace at no charge. Furniture pieces: 30-day return with a 15% restocking fee for opened items. Full details on the Returns page.

Where do you ship?

All 50 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on size and destination — typically $15–30 within the continental US, higher to AK/HI. No international shipping at the moment.

Who makes these?

Kashi cuts every pad himself in his Simi Valley workshop. He's been cutting foam since 1998. Sidtech (the company you're paying) handles the website, customer support, and shipping logistics. Kashi handles the work.

Why are you cheaper than the well-known orthopedic brands?

We don't carry inventory, we don't pay for warehouse space, we don't pay for retail-store distribution, and we don't run paid ads. The pad is made when you order it and shipped from the workshop. The savings go to you and to Kashi, not to overhead. See About for the longer version.
